Australian Security Fencing Pty Ltd (ASF) was established in 1988. A family business located in Western Sydney, ASF manufactures and installs a range of high security fencing and electric detection systems for industrial, commercial and Government applications.
ASF has recently added manufacturing to its already well established service and installation divisions. This makes ASF a major contributor to the manufacture of security fencing detection systems and physical barriers in Australia.
Twenty years’ experience in perimeter security has provided ASF management and staff with an invaluable knowledge and ability to create systems that can deliver various levels of security, intimidation and detection.
ASF research, development and testing facilities are imperative aspects when operating under the concept of delivering high quality security fencing products and results that exceed clients’ expectations.
In October 2001 the Australian Government announced a new Defence headquarters centre to be constructed at Bungendore, outside Canberra. The Department of Defence Headquarters Joint Operations Command will be a high technology facility, to be used as a Command Centre for any war or terrorism activities involving the Australian Defence Forces.
ASF was awarded the tender for the supply and installation of the High Security Perimeter Barrier fencing for this project.
Both the Securemax® 358 mesh and the Razar Tape® products were used for this installation to provide the highest level of protection for the personnel and military equipment housed inside the command centre.
Following the successful completion of this project, ASF received an award for ‘Major Security Installation 2008’ from the Australian Security Industry Association Limited.
This is a prestigious award and is highly valued in the security infrastructure industry. This is the second award ASF has won over the past four years, an extremely high achievement for a small family owned business.
