The Heart Foundation and Kellogg are providing $30,000 and recognition to award initiatives that help create healthy communities. Dr Peter Abernethy, the National Director of Cardiovascular Health Programs for the National Heart Foundation, said that the 2006 Awards have been refocussed on the implementation of programs that build social connections, encourage people to be physically active, smoke free and make healthy food choices.
