RiskeProfiling A risk management tool for Local Government

A risk management tool for Local Government

RiskeProfiling is a cost effective, user friendly, risk management tool that has been designed for Councils by Councils. The software is already assisting over 60 Councils Australia wide in establishing a proactive risk management system.

It provides a process of reviewing and auditing. It also assists an organisation to demonstrate that it has ‘acted reasonably’, should losses or a claim occur.

The software was developed and is managed by Echelon Australia Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of insurance brokers, Jardine Lloyd Thompson Australia (JLTA).

Primarily, RiskeProfiling enables a complete risk assessment for any site, activity or function of an organisation. It is also allows for document risk control measures in accordance with AS/NZS4360, and tracks progress of these activities across multiple locations.

RiskeProfiling works through sharing information between Councils via a common database of risk assessments. Effective risk and hazard identification, assessment and control are crucial elements of Councils’ risk management activities. Recording these activities demonstrate diligence in discharging a Council’s duty of care to employees, residents, visitors and ratepayers.

Civic Mutual Plus, covering Victorian and Tasmanian Councils, and its sister scheme in New South Wales, Statewide, are providing training for registered RiskeProfiling users, enabling interested members an opportunity to ‘test-drive’ the system.

For further information contact Ron Barnes at JLTA on (02) 9320 2770.
