Working for a sustainable future

Committed to Local Agenda 21, Mandurah and its surrounds, is the perfect location for a national forum to address the issue of sustainability. Organisers chose Mandurah to host the Conference, titled ‘Planning for Sustainable Futures’, because of the City’s clear commitment to sustainability in planning decisions.

To be held on 14-16 September, this event aims to assist others in planning sustainable projects, getting started and identifying the obstacles when initiating such projects. Delegates will hear first hand from quality speakers, Council Officers and industry representatives.

“We have been most fortunate to receive support from a range of exceptional guest speakers,” said Mandurah’s Acting Chief Executive Officer, Mark Newman.

Speakers include Geoff Roberts from Manidis Roberts Consultants, ESD consultants for Sydney’s Olympic village, who will talk about the pioneering Olympic village, which is putting sustainability principles into practice.
