2nd national award for Quadrant

Tasmania’s Quadrant Superannuation, has won a national industry award for its innovative New Member Kit. Submitted to the Australian Superannuation Funds Association (ASFA) Communication Awards, the kit successfully attracted a national Merit Award.

Originally established in 1944 as the Municipal Employees Assurance Scheme, in 1998, it changed to its present name and began expanding its customer base beyond Local Government. It now has over $140 million in assets.

Quadrant accepts employers from a range of industries, including State Government agencies, private sector companies, agricultural enterprises and engineering concerns. Membership is growing rapidly as new employers join the scheme.

This is the second national award for the New Member Kit with Quadrant earlier in the year winning a Conference of Major Superannuation Funds (CMSF) Gold Communication Award.

In line with Quadrant’s theme ‘Super Straight Answers’, the New Member Kit was designed to provide a straightforward and easily read information package for members joining the fund.

Chief Executive Officer, Wayne Davy, said Quadrant’s commitment to providing a high standard of member services, and providing members with a simple explanation on superannuation, was a priority in designing the kit.

“The New Member Kit has provided our new members with an excellent introduction to Quadrant and we are delighted to have won another award recognising its innovative approach,” he said.

Over 50 entries were received nationally for the awards. Many were from large interstate super funds, demonstrating Quadrant’s ability to lead the way in services for its members.
