End to end people solution for Councils *

Rebus Australia has been providing Payroll & HR Solutions in Australia since 1980. Rebus Software UK is the leading supplier of HRIS to Local Government Systems and this expertise is now being offered to Australian Local Government.

Rebus specialises in Payroll & Human Resources Information Systems and their history dates from the days of Mainframe Payroll systems through to their latest PS enterprise Suite.

The staffing cost of Councils constitutes a large percentage of the overall Council running cost.

Rebus Australia and their PS enterprise provide a platform to significantly improve the flexibility and control over the people component of your operations.

With the improved efficiencies, better utilisation of staff and online Intranet access to people data, Councils will reduce this significant cost and improve the bottom line of their operational costs.

PS enterprise is designed and constructed with standard Microsoft Development Tools, eliminating the need to have people with specialised programming and technical skills to support the product.

Rebus is an accredited Microsoft Business Partner and PS enterprise is integrated with the MS Office suite of products to add significant user benefits with regards to product familiarity, seamless integration & less dependence on internal IT resources.

With the advent of new technology over the past few years delivering powerful resources to the desktop user, software companies have been faced with a dilemma.

Do they develop a windows front end to older, legacy systems to extend the life of their solution, or do they invest significant resources and capital to develop a new product suite to harness the power of the desktop.

Rebus made the decision to invest in a total product redesign and that foresight now enables PS enterprise to keep pace with the latest technology advances in e-business solutions, a future-proof strategy.

The Rebus Workforce Management Solution (WFM) is a collection of Microsoft centric, Best of Breed solutions covering Rostering & Award Interpretation, Payroll, Human Resources, Salary Packaging, OLAP based Balanced Scorecard EIS reporting and Data Management Tools.

All of the products are integrated; common data required by each product need only be entered once and reporting is available across the full suite of products.

Rebus Australia has adopted this approach as a means of providing an end to end People Solution so organisations need only deal with one supplier for project implementation and post implementation user support.

PS enterprise WFM is designed for Windows NT Servers with a MS-SQL Server or Oracle database. The client can be Windows NT, Windows 95/98 or 2000 using a WAN, Citrix or Win Terminal Server communications infrastructure. Access is also available via the Internet/Intranet.

For too long Payroll & HR has been an inclusion in Financial, ERP or other packaged systems, where the People component of the package is not core business, therefore they are primarily used as a basic method of paying people and storing their details. This approach does not place the necessary emphasis on People Management and how to best utilise people skills, competencies and other intellectual knowledge.
