Knowledge-based enterprise asset management *

Maintenance – it used to be a dirty word. Connotations of grease under the fingernails, emergency repairs, fix it at whatever the cost, just get it done are all still reminiscent of the good old days. Today things have changed. Maintenance is a complicated game of highly skilled labour and intelligent information systems that have migrated from stand alone basic scheduling packages to intuitive, multi faceted applications that are integrated in the overall enterprise.

Maintenance should no longer be considered an expensive cost of doing business. With the correct tools, maintenance management professionals have the power to dynamically affect the overall operation of the enterprise and positively impact the bottom line.

Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) have been the standard software tools used to achieve better maintenance processes and procedures. But even these applications have been evolving over the last few years.

To meet the challenges of today and anticipated future demands AXS-One has developed a system that goes beyond the basic CMMS application. Its integrated set of strategic modules puts the power of true intelligent information systems into the hands of everyone involved in the maintenance functions and beyond, including purchasing, finance, warehouse management and top level executives.

AXS-One’s Enterprise Asset Management system meets all the critical issues associated with highly complex maintenance projects by seamlessly integrating Maintenance Management with Inventory Control, Procurement and Project Management.

When, in turn, the Enterprise Asset Management system is combined with its core systems, a Council really gains incremental benefits.
