The Australian WorkPlace website was launched in September 2001 and provides a gateway to information on every aspect of the workplace. It is the one entry point to whole of government information on employment, careers, training, labour market information, working conditions and government assistance.

Information contained on this comprehensive web site will be of invaluable assistance to Local Government human resource professionals, managers and staff alike.

Workplace.gov.au has everything you need to know about the workplace in the one place.It has been developed as part of the Commonwealth Government’s customer focused portals framework. This framework simplifies access to a comprehensive range of information andservices online from all Commonwealth agencies.

You don’t need to know which department you require, or how the department works to find the information you want. To access these Commonwealth Government portals visit www.australia.gov.au

In addition to information, WorkPlace is home to several leading employment websites including JobSearch, Careers, VolunteerSearch and Wagenet. JobSearch in particular has contributed to providing Australia with what is now one of the most dynamic, complete and popular online government employment services in the world.
