A new seminar series will assist businesses to become investment ready and identify and access investment opportunities. Investment experts will work with local finance professionals and businesses to increase their understanding of how to put together an investment proposal and help them to match up with potential investors.
The Federal Government is sponsoring a series of investment seminars to be held across regional Australia as part of a $2.2 million Investment & Trade in Regional Australia Package. The seminar series will be administered by the Australian Local Government Association and delivered by Australian Business Limited.Seminars will be held in 48 locations in all States and Territories running from March to May 2003 and will be individually tailored for each region to ensure maximum benefit.
The seminar series is one of three components of the Investment & Trade in Regional Australia Package funded under the Federal Government’s $90 million Regional Solutions Programme. The package is highlighting the potential for commercial investment and trade opportunities in regional Australia through a national, whole-of-government partnership between Commonwealth, State and Northern Territory agencies. The package is managed by a steering group comprising the Department of Transport and Regional Services, Austrade, Invest Australia, State and Northern Territory regional development agencies, Area Consultative Committees and the Australian Local Government Association, building on the work already done by other agencies.

Campbelltown, Gosford, Murwillumbah, Wagga Wagga, Albury, Tamworth, Dubbo, Port Macquarie, Queanbeyan and Wollongong.
Victoria
Mildura, Wangaratta, Ballarat, Bendigo, Warrnambool, Sale and Traralgon
Northern Territory
Alice Springs, Darwin, Katherine and Tennant Creek.
Queensland
Roma, Emerald, Cloncurry, Atherton, Harvey Bay/Childers, Redlands/Logan and Caloundra.
South Australia
