Bayswater staff share vision

Implementing the five corporate values of customer service, safety, money management, organisational wellbeing and continuous improvement has created many positive changes at the City of Bayswater in Western Australia.

Staff now have a shared responsibility and purpose to serve the organisation and the community. Council has identified the following core values for all staff to display.

  • Customer service – the key focus of all Council activities.
  • Safety – reducing the risk of physical or economic loss to the City or damage to the environment, with the goal of zero injury and loss.
  • Money management – using resources wisely, caring for Council equipment and obtaining best value for the least possible cost.
  • Organisational wellbeing – creating a healthy organisation that promotes honesty, integrity and respect for staff, Councillors and the community.
  • Continuous improvement – regular performance reviews to encourage efficiency and innovation.

Council has made these core values part of staff inductions.
