Over half a million page requests per month
In addition to the 11,800 copies of Local Government Focus distributed every month, each edition is also posted on our web site. With the site launched in May 1996, all subsequent editions have been archived at www.lgfocus.com.au. Earlier this year, the Focus web site passed half a million page requests per month. With over 4,250 articles, our web site is a handy online archive covering key events and best practice examples of Australian Local Government over the past seven years.
There is an internal search for easy access to a specific topic, Council or area interest. The web site is updated with the new edition by the middle of each month, coinciding with the dispatch of hard copies.
The Focus Online button takes you to the 2003 editions. Click on the current edition and all article headings appear along with a brief overview of each. Clicking on a specific title will open that article.
With free access and no cost to download any articles, our web site is a valuable tool for Council staff, elected members and others interested in Local Government. Why not put a link to it on your Council’s Intranet.
If you have not visited our site, it is well worth a look. We have a feedback form on our home page and would be pleased to receive your comments and any suggestions for improvements.
