Think that you’ve seen it all?

You can at CivEnEx Sydney!!!

May 2005 will mark the 50th anniversary of the Local Government Engineers Field Days and the 100th anniversary of the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australia (IPWEA).

With 50 years of experience to draw on, this annual event is still the best value for exhibitors and a mecca for those who provide and maintain our public spaces and infrastructure. When it comes to the latest in equipment and products for public works, property maintenance, open space management and construction, CivEnEx Sydney is the true one stop shop.

In 1905 a group of far sighted engineers representing Local Government and the major public works authorities in New South Wales joined together to form a professional association. Today the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australia is a leading national body providing professional support to those involved in the delivery of public works and services.

The NSW Division’s annual State conference and the associated Engineer’s Field Days, known as CivEnEx, are its flagship events where it can share collective expertise and showcase products, services and equipment that support this industry and its members.

Its centenary conference, in May 2005, is naturally a very special event and a cause to celebrate the achievements of the last 100 years. More than that, it has cause for a double celebration as IPWEA – NSW will also host its 50th Annual Engineers Field Days at CivEnEx 2005.

The program for the IPWEA (NSW) Centenary Conference at the Sydney Superdome places delegates right next door to the fabulous Royal Agricultural Society Showgrounds site to inspect products, services and equipment at the 50th anniversary of CivEnEx.

CivEnEx brings together a wide cross section of visitors, including civil engineers, contractors, elected representatives, purchasing officers, company directors, health professionals, Federal, State and Local Government officials, architects, landscapers, mining engineers and consultants.

Many of the CivEnEx exhibitors showcase new products and services for the first time. Over 20 market segments and 70 product categories are represented including construction and road building equipment; trucks, trailers and loading equipment; cranes and elevated work platforms; crushing, screening and mining; turf care, landscaping and outdoor design; environmental technology and water treatment; street furniture and playground equipment; arbor equipment, chippers and saws; safety clothing and equipment; engineering and estimating software and computers; pipe testing and maintenance equipment; bridges and pre-cast concrete.

“My plant operators, mechanics and I look forward to this annual event as it fits in perfectly with our plant purchasing timetable. By late May our budget for the following year is “locked in” and CivEnEx is a perfect opportunity to do some comparison shopping before we finalise our tenders. It is certainly a must on our calendar every year!”

“Digga has been a long time supporter of the CivEnEx show because we have always had a great response from both new and old customers while attending the show. It is one of the best organised shows that we attend though out the year. We also value the benefits of CivEnEx when releasing new products due to the large number of people that come through the gate.”
