Better Facilities – Stronger Communities, a conference focusing on community and leisure facilities, is to be held on 15 and 16 August 2005 at the Melbourne Park Function Centre. The aim of the conference is to explore best practice in facilities planning, design and management.
Having hosted a series of conferences in recent years based on Local Government innovation, the City of Whittlesea has an established reputation for high quality events.
It will demonstrate its impressive record in this area by hosting this year’s Better Facilities – Stronger Communities conference, in partnership with Sport and Recreation Victoria, Department of Sustainability and Environment, Department for Victorian Communities, YMCA, RMIT, Melbourne University, Royal Australian Institute of Architecture, and the Planning Institute of Australia.
