Modern help desk needs modern tools*

Since the inception of the ‘computer age’, organisations large and small have struggled with the best mechanism for supporting the users of this ever changing technology. These struggles lead to the birth and rapid growth of the help desk, or service desk, a key part of most organisations today. To function effectively, however, a modern help desk requires modern help desk tools, including help desk software.

For many years Australian government and industry turned to overseas providers of help desk software and these vendors were happy to sell their expensive and complicated offerings to an eager audience. Australian software development has matured in recent years and high quality, cost effective help desk software is now produced here and sold globally.

HelpMaster Pro Enterprise Edition is such a product. Developed in the ACT, it provides a single, shared database along with a flexible toolset that can assist any organisation to provide top level support to users and clients. With desktop and web accessibility to the powerful SQL database for both clients and staff, HelpMaster Pro is being used around the world by hundreds of government and private help desks and call centres to streamline and manage their support services.

Beaudesert Shire, Yarra City Council, City of Joondalup, City of Wanneroo, CBA, Wesfarmers are just a few of the progressive organisations now using this mature help desk suite in Australia.
