Mark your diaries for 16 & 17 May 2007

The Institute of Public Works Engineering Australia (NSW), organiser of CivEnEx – “The Engineers Field Days”, has announced the move to a brand new venue. Australia’s longest running and most successful exhibition for the Local Government, construction and infrastructure maintenance industries will be relocating to the new Western Sydney International Dragway at Eastern Creek, New South Wales. The Western Sydney International Dragway, developed over the past three years by the NSW State Government, is conveniently located for exhibitors and visitors just 15 minutes from the many hotels in Parramatta and Penrith and immediately south of the Eastern Creek Raceway. Features include:

  • good access all from directions via M4 and M7 motorways and Great Western Highway
  • wide multi laned paved access roads for bump in/bump out
  • both grassed and paved exhibition areas 20,000m2 of fully paved area (with more to be added in future) 30,000m2 of grassed area with fully paved perimeter and interlocking access roads
  • perimeter security fencing and 24 hour security
  • power, water lighting and PA system
  • exhibitor BBQs allowed and catering outlets provided
  • plenty of space for working demonstrations.
  • the opportunity to hold exciting exhibitor “fun nights” at the adjacent Dragway
  • Local and State Government support into the future.

“The move back to an ‘outdoor’ venue, creates huge opportunities,” said the CivEnEx Event Manager, Frank Sticka. “In fact the site is almost made to order for our event, with plenty of free parking, both paved and grassed sites with interlocking roads, exhibitor barbeques and scope for demonstrations from earthworks to street sweepers!

“We can cater to the needs of our exhibitors and visitors, ensure that they are welcomed into an all weather, relaxed and safe environment and have some fun along the way!

“Don’t miss the Wednesday night drag races!”
