Calling all Councils

The IT conference team at Coffs Harbour City Council needs your story at their highly successful
IT conference in November. So much so they are offering prizes to procure high quality Local Government IT case studies. All successful presenters will go in a draw for some sensational prizes.

2008 marks the 11th year for this highly successful IT Local Government conference organised by the Council. New branding and a raft of new ideas and inclusions are part of what is in store for this year’s attendees. This conference has grown into the premier Local Government IT event and a benchmark for others to follow.

IT2008 is scheduled for 18–21 November 2008 in beautiful Coffs Harbour, New South Wales. The conference provides a forum for Local Government managers and support staff to network, learn and exchange ideas.

The theme for this year’s conference is ‘SYNCHRONICITY’. The conference seeks to help the Local Government IT professional identify the real IT needs of their organisation and synchronise the IT infrastructure with core business objectives.

This year’s presentations will focus on:

  • Council IT best practices
  • cutting edge and emerging IT technologies
  • Council case studies
  • industry and government trends
  • management skills and techniques
  • personal/professional growth and development.

Registration will shortly be available from the conference website at it2008.coffsharbour.nsw.gov.au/ Also included are case studies from a number of Councils that have implemented successful IT Strategies and enlightening presentations from quality IT Industry professionals.
