State of the art meeting and conference systems*

You may not be aware, but Bosch is the world’s leading manufacturer of conference systems. Its range includes the flagship product DCN, which is available with wired and wireless Delegate Units, or your system can be a combination of both.

Around the world, major organisations that use Bosch DCN conference systems include NATO, the EU Parliament in Brussels, and the Spanish Parliament in Madrid, to name but a few. In Australia, Bosch DCN was used exclusively for the 2007 APEC Conference in Sydney. The Victorian and South Australian Parliaments have also chosen DCN.

Bosch conference systems are used by a growing number of Local Governments in both urban and regional parts of Australia.

DCN helps bring order to your meetings, with features such as automatic queuing of speakers, Chairman priority override, control over the number of open microphones at any one time, and allows contributions from the public or presenters to easily be reproduced through each of the delegate’s discussion units built in loudspeaker.

Optional conference control software is also available, which allows an operator a great degree of control over the system.

Many Local Governments have discovered the convenience of DCN’s automated electronic voting facilities, which allow management of agendas, motions and results. The operator can start or stop voting sessions, and have the facility to display and log the voting results. The voting results can even be displayed on a plasma screen, which can be shown live, and appear as individual or group (yes, no, abstain), and can be automatically fed into a PowerPoint chart for display.

The DCN wireless system offers
secure communication, and unlike some infrared based conference systems, is not prone to interference from sunlight or fluorescent room lighting. Another important feature is the system’s immunity to mobile phone interference, which can be disruptive to your meeting.

The recording and transcription of proceedings is made easy with DCN through innovative software solutions. The recording software allows you to record your meeting, then make it available as a .wav or MP3 file, which could even be distributed from your website to constituents.

Also popular with councils is the CCS800 ultro discussion system, which is the only system of its type available with built in MP3 recording onto an SD memory card.
