The Liverpool Plains is one of those places that subtly catch your attention with a mixture of mountains and rich agricultural plains.
Anybody who is active and outdoor orientated is drawn to the great sports facilities in Quirindi and Werris Creek particularly if you like cricket, rugby, golf, bowls and tennis.
If you are into eventing, polocrosse, polo, campdraft or rodeo the horse sports facilities are second to none and great training is available through local Pony Clubs.
Cool winters are preceded by autumn colours and moderate rainfalls refresh the countryside. It’s green and clean and great for kids to safely play.
The centre for Local Government is Quirindi, close to Tamworth and the coast.
Rural lifestyle blocks are proving popular by providing breathing space.
In the towns you’re likely to have blue wrens for neighbours or the occasional koala paying a visit. There are good schools, hospitals and excellent public transport links to Sydney and Newcastle.
