In Ashfield, young people are being urged to don an apron and get cooking as part of a special free ‘Youth Cook’ cooking class for teenagers organised by the Ashfield Youth Committee.
This has proved a great chance to learn to cook a simple delicious three course meal.
The free event has been organised by young people for young people and is an opportunity for young people to develop their culinary skills and meet young people from the area.
On the menu was a scrumptious three course meal to learn to cook – Ham and Cheese Calzone (Entrée), Spinach and Ricotta Cannelloni (Main) and Chocolate Mousse (Dessert).
The Ashfield Youth Committee regularly meets to discuss important issues facing young people and provides advice to Council on its plans and programs as well as to organise special events such as the ‘Youth Cook’.
