Sustainable Living Gympie Guide goes live

Sometimes it is all too easy to feel that the world’s problems are so big that you cannot make a difference.

It’s crucial that we have a sense of ‘working together’ on this most important challenge, to live sustainably.

However, assistance is at hand to provide practical, relevant information about developing and implementing sustainable living principles in our everyday lives. Gympie Regional Council has partnered with the Natural Strategies Group with funding provided through the Burnett Mary Regional Group’s Innovative Grants program, to help develop and implement the web-based Sustainable Living Gympie Guide.

The guide is designed to help residents of the Gympie region take action to live more sustainably at home and in the community. It contains ideas, tips and inspiration about how small, easy changes can have positive impacts on the environment, health and wellbeing, and may also help to save money.

Gympie Regional Council Mayor Ron Dyne said the Sustainable Living Gympie Guide was launched in conjunction with Sustainable House Day, a project which showcases some of Australia’s most sustainable homes to the public.

The Guide provides a diverse range of practical, and easy to implement tips and information about topics including helping to protect our waterways and environment, responsible pet ownership, sustainable gardening, food production and more.

Challenge yourself to take up a new sustainable action today! Find out just how easy it is to work towards creating a sustainable future for ourselves, our children and our children’s children.
