Redland City Council staff member, Jennifer Haines, has won the LGMAQ Award of Young Manager of the Year for Leadership and Management Excellence in 2012.
The award recognises the outstanding commitment, leadership and performance of a person aged 35 years or younger in local government in Queensland. Award nominees are judged across twenty criteria relating to their visionary leadership, innovation and change, continual best practice, interpersonal skills, contribution to the community or region and professional development.
As Service Manager, Health and Environment with Redland City Council, Jennifer Haines is responsible for managing the Health and Environment functions of the Redland City Council, with a staff of 23 covering areas of Environmental Compliance, Public Health and Pest Management services.
Councils Health and Environment Unit is one of Council’s best performing units, which consistently meets and exceeds performance targets and provides exceptional customer service to Council’s customers.
A Bachelor of Science graduate in Environmental Health Jennifer has worked in environmental health leadership roles with three Queensland Councils (Balonne Shire, Boonah Shire and Logan City) and the Queensland governments Safe Food Production body before joining Redland City Council.
