The sixth annual SP AusNet Baw Baw Business Excellence Awards were held in Warragul in October, showcasing the achievements of local businesses and the ongoing support of the Baw Baw Shire Council.

The annual Awards recognise local business excellence, innovation, development and success, and the contribution business makes to the lifestyle and economy of the Baw Baw Shire.

Council CEO Helen Anstis said she was delighted to see such a strong field of recipients of the awards across the 14 categories.

“These awards emphasise the Shire’s support for local business. This Council prides itself on being proactive in its support for business, in helping entrepreneurs to grow local employment opportunities. The awards happen once a year, but our support is there every day.”

Jennifer Knowles, from Corporate Relations at SP AusNet, presented the trophy for the SP AusNet Business of the Year 2012 to Gippsland Secured Investments.
