Get bizifyd

The City of Unley has become the first South Australian Council to trial the Helping Young People Achieve (HYPA) Works youth employment program, Bizifyd, to support younger residents and the local business community.

Bizifyd offers young people aged 18–24 the opportunity to set up their own social media business and gain valuable work experience and skills in local businesses across the City of Unley.

City of Unley, Manager Community Development, Mandy Smith said participants would be provided with six weeks of business training with a focus on social media, and six weeks in a business work practice, delivering social media services to local businesses.

“The beauty of this program is that our young participants gain a variety of skills and valuable experience through the training and placement, and participating businesses benefit from having their social media set up.”

The 12-week training program is open to people aged between 18 and 24 who work or reside in Unley.

City of Unley will also be seeking expressions of interest from local businesses to be part of the initiative.

Participating businesses will receive valuable social media and IT services at an affordable rate, while helping young people in the local community gain valuable skills and work experience.
