NSW Councils to review and enhance services

Local Government Professionals Australia, NSW, through a new business partnership with CAMMS, is enabling councils to now access RevuMap, an intelligent and integrated service review, business improvement, benchmarking and process management tool that enables councils themselves to deliver productivity improvements and bottom line savings.

“We are proud to have worked hard to deliver an innovative solution for professionals in the local government sector that would normally cost councils significantly more in time and money if they were to rely on an expert consultant, or if they were to use the current methods available to review council services and processes,” said President of LG Professionals, NSW, Barry Smith.

For many councils in New South Wales, evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of council services has been a high priority, yet the methods of achieving this have been complex, time consuming, and costly.

The new service review software could save councils up to 50 percent in service-related time and/or costs, and could also be priced up to 30 percent less than the original cost.

RevuMap has been carefully tested at Hunter’s Hill Council, Albury City Council, and Tamworth Regional Council, and has been specifically tailored by CAMMS to help councils first identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and furthermore, give councils the knowledge and framework to improve their processes themselves.

Managing Director of CAMMS, Joe Collins, says RevuMap has been designed specifically for NSW local government in the midst of reform and change, to assist with improving long-term sustainability and well informed decision-making.

“The software is based on a superior end to end conceptual framework and provides exceptional functionality.

“We are pleased to be able to work with LG Professionals, NSW in this way, as they have demonstrated that they have the interests of NSW local government as their focus.”
