The Rosemeadow/Ambarvale community has hosted a series of Good Neighbour Showcase events held throughout Campbelltown City Council to recognise the contributions of local residents and their neighbours in making the community a better place.
The showcase events formed part of a Place Management Project, a joint initiative of Campbelltown City Council and Family and Community Services Housing NSW to support the delivery of place-based programs as part of the regeneration of local suburbs.
The events were delivered in partnership with local community agencies, services, residents and community groups.
Harmony Day was the theme of the Good Neighbour Showcase in Rosemeadow/Ambarvale.
The event was delivered in partnership with Rosemeadow Ambarvale Community Interagency (RACI), as well as community and resident groups, and featured entertainment, activities and a variety of information stalls.
A Good Neighbour Recognition Ceremony was held as part of the event, including a free barbecue, tea, coffee and cake.
All residents of Rosemeadow/Ambarvale were encouraged to attend.
Campbelltown City Council’s Director of Community Services, Lindy Deitz, said the initiative acknowledged residents’ valuable contributions to the local community.
“The Good Neighbour Showcase events are a great way to promote positive community spirit and recognise the valuable contributions of services, organisations, local schools, community groups and residents in building a city we’re all proud to call home.”
