National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence

This Friday, March 20 2015, will be the fifth National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence, and the Bully Zero Australia Foundation will be supporting the event.

Former Mayor of the City of Moreland Oscar Yildiz JP founded the Bully Zero Australia Foundation after feeling there was a huge gap with the existing charities and organizations in responding to victims of bullying.

The Hon. Prime Minister Julia Gillard officially launched the Bully Zero Australia Foundation on March 16, 2013 and since then the Foundation has gained support from various charity partners, suppliers, sponsors, media, government and businesses.

The Foundation works to deliver evidenced-based, effective programs on a National level and exists to protect and empower children, adolescents, teachers, parents, employees and employers, to live fulfilling lives free from all forms of bullying.

Bully Zero Australia Foundation has achieved a number of goals over the last several years including the launch of the 24 hour 1800 0 Bully (1800 028 559) hotline that is managed by OracleCMS.

The Hotline’s trained staff provide confidential information and support to callers.

The Foundation has also delivered free anti bullying workshops to over 60,000 students, parents, teachers, sporting clubs, apprentices, trainees, community groups and employees nationally.

48 hour digital detox programs, creates extensive displays at expos and delivers national awareness initiatives on the National Day of Action Against Bullying.
