A random telephone survey has found that community satisfaction with Warringah Council is at record highs, with 94 percent of the population ‘somewhat’ to ‘very’ satisfied with its performance.
The result is up from 91 percent in 2014.
The survey, conducted by Micromex, also found that 26 percent of the population believed Warringah Council had improved in the past year.
Satisfaction with 21 Council facilities and services also increased.
“This proves we have truly turned things around from six years ago when we were in administration,” said Warringah Mayor, Michael Regan.
“I was especially pleased that the community says it has better engagement with Council.
“80 percent of people are satisfied with Council’s responsiveness to their needs.
“But this doesn’t mean we’re going to rest on our laurels.
“We will keep working to deliver the best value infrastructure and services possible to the people of Warringah.”
Managing Director of Micromex Research, Stuart Reeve said community perceptions of Warringah Council’s performance have measurably improved over the last four years.
“The Council is now well ahead of our NSW Council Satisfaction benchmark.
“From our experience, councils don’t record these sorts of improvements without engaging with their residents and providing better community outcomes.”
