Ku-ring-gai Council is holding a school holiday program this summer in the Ku-ring-gai wild flower garden. The program known as Bush Kids will offer a range of activities throughout the summer holiday period.
Bush Kids offers simple and fun hands-on activities for kids who love nature and getting their hands dirty. The activities are set in the rambling surroundings of the Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden and aims to connect children with nature in a fun and educational way.
This year’s summer Bush Kids program kicked off on Thursday December 17 with the annual Natural Christmas Decoration workshops, where kids could make special last-minute gifts or decorations using natural materials found at Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden.
There are a number of outdoor activities planned to follow that will engage children from a topsy-turvy toddler to an adventurous orienteer. Bigger kids can try the new day-camping experience or challenge themselves with new skills in bushcraft.
