Isaac Regional Council is preparing to launch an app offering flexibility for campers.
The ‘Parkmobile’ app aims to give visitors more payment options when arranging their coastal holidays.
Commencing Friday March 11, visitors to St Lawrence and Carmila campgrounds will have the ease of paying for overnight stays using the app as well as via traditional payment methods.
Camping at both locations will be charged at $10 per night with a maximum stay of 14 consecutive nights.
Isaac Regional Council CEO Rod Ferguson said he is happy to see Council embracing technology that allows campers to pay for overnight stays on the spot, using their own phone.
“Apps have become part of daily life for many people, and Parkmobile aims to provide an easy-to-use solution that will benefit both campers and Council,” he said.
“The technology is an exciting step forward for Council and a way to better serve campers visiting our coastal region.”
In addition to the app there will be a range of payment methods available to campers including online at www.parkmobile.com.au, over the phone to Council and over the counter at any Council office (during business hours).
Campers planning an overnight visit to St Lawrence or Carmila can download the app early and register their details.
As Parkmobile is a payment system, not a booking system, campers are advised to first set up their campsite, then complete payment.
