Noosa courts digital entrepreneurs

Noosa Shire Council is helping to attract tech workers and digital entrepreneurs to the region with the creation of The Peregin Beach Digital Hub, due to open in May.

Noosa’s digital talent pool is growing rapidly, making it a more feasible base for technology entrepreneurs that are looking to employ local software developers, designers and other technologists.
Former Lonely Planet innovation head and founder of CreateNoosa, Chris Boden, said, “I moved to Noosa with my family from Silicon Valley.

“Noosa’s edge is undoubtedly the unparalleled lifestyle it offers tech workers and entrepreneurs.”

Chris, director of the new Digital Hub, will provide entrepreneurial support to the Hub’s tenants.

“The Peregian Beach Digital Hub is an important piece of infrastructure that will further Council’s support of this growing industry.”

The Hub offers modern, flexible space designed to house a mix of established and emerging technology companies with their own private office spaces, as well as individual technology entrepreneurs in a co-working environment.

The Hub will host mentoring and skills development programs help build Noosa’s technology talent and foster a culture of collaboration and collegial support.

The Hub’s location at Peregian Beach, only 20 minutes from the soon-to-be-upgraded Sunshine Coast Airport, is a drawcard.

The Digital Hub is part of Council’s Local Economic Plan which seeks to diversify the economy.
