The Smart City Expo, headquartered in Canada, is a global initiative taking place annually in Australia, Canada and Dubai, combining co-located conferences with state-of-the-art expo floors on the theme of Smart City and Internet-of-Things (IoT).
Smart City Expo provides thousands of attendees with a combination of inspiring keynote speeches and the cutting-edge technologies that enable the move towards smart cities of the future.
The Smart Cities Expo’s Annual Australia Programme for 2018, at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, 3-4 September, will provide a platform where government officials, city council representatives, chief information officers, urban administrators and researchers are able to brainstorm ideas about smart Australian cities of the future.
The event is designed to close the knowledge gap to allow local, state and federal government departments and agencies to collaborate, share knowledge and foster innovation.
The Smart City Expo International Conferences will be hosted at Metro Toronto Convention & Exhibition Centre, 9-10 October 2018, and at the Metropolitan Hotel in Dubai, 26–27 November, 2018.
The 2018 Australia Programme will entail a number of keynote speeches covering Smart City Vertical Applications such as Smart Grid, Smart Transportation, Smart Health, Industry 4.0, Cities 4.0, Smart City Data ISO Standards, Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, Cloud Computing, Smart Building Management Systems, Smart Lighting, Enterprise IoT, Big Data Analytics and Smart Governance.
The events keynote speakers will include The Hon. David Davis, MP, Shadow Minister for Public Transport and Planning, Victoria; The Hon. Jackie Watts, Councillor, City of Melbourne; Declan Clausen, Deputy Lord Mayor, The City of Newcastle; Albert Jacob, Mayor, City of Joondalup; Craig Chung, Councillor, City of Sydney; John Marinopoulos, Partner, Infrastructure & Urban Renewal, PwC; and Dr. David Soldani, Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Huawei.
