From golf to hip-hop, Cairns Regional Council’s Disability Action Week, held in September, provided a range of activities to promote inclusion.

Under the umbrella of “Everyone has a role to play” the week-long celebration encouraged participants to make small changes to create a more inclusive and welcoming place for people with disability.

Council provided $22,000 to support community groups to host five events including a ‘conversation café’ to promote employment for people with disability.
