Love your life at every age

Penrith City Council, New South Wales, believes that ‘old’ is just a state of mind, which is why the Reimagine Ageing Festival is held every year.

Penrith Mayor Ross Fowler OAM said that the Reimagine Ageing Festival is so important because age isn’t what it used to be.

“Getting older in 2019 is much different than it was even 20 years ago, which is why our Festival program focuses on the question ‘who says getting older means slowing down?’ which is a great message.

“Our population is ageing and staying more active and engaged than ever before, and I think it is really important that we provide experiences, opportunities and adventure for ‘seniors’ that are as creative and vibrant as they are.”

Local organisations will be in attendance, sharing the interesting events, classes and activities happening around Penrith, all year. And there will be cooking demonstrations, a dog behaviourist Q&A session, and a community garden workshop.

Reimagine Ageing is part of the State Government’s Seniors Festival.
