Innovators represent the region

A new initiative will put cutting-edge regional businesses at the forefront of Queensland’s crusade to generate jobs of the future.

Central Highlands Development Corporation (CHDC) is giving ten businesses from across the Fitzroy region the opportunity to participate in the State’s largest-ever innovation festival, QODE 2019.

QODE (pronounced ‘code’), Brisbane 2-3 April, will deliver inspirational content to the start-up and entrepreneurial community.

CHDC General Manager, Sandra Hobbs, said, “More than 1000 innovators, investors and entrepreneurs from across the globe will be attending this exciting event and we’re thrilled to be able to put our region’s businesses in the mix.

“This is a chance to gain powerful insights into the technology and innovation space, connect with the world’s best entrepreneurs and venture capitalists, and get ahead of the curve.

“Beyond that, injecting an impressive contingent of regionally-based businesses into QODE will serve to build awareness of our region and its capacity and passion for innovation.

“We’re looking for applicants who represent the best our region offers – startups, innovative businesses, and entrepreneurs who are committed to solving complex problems right here on our doorstep.

Sponsored by Advance Queensland, QODE forms part of a new festival called Curiocity Brisbane, which includes the successful World Science Festival Brisbane.
