Pop up libraries in the park

A new chapter begins as Isaac Regional Council, Queensland, libraries take off with a novel idea to head outdoors with one of its popular children programs.

With the rise of technology, Isaac Libraries is getting nostalgic and bringing the playing, reading, talking and sharing books outside as part of a new First 5 Forever program – Pop Ups @ The Park.

Mayor, Anne Baker, said First 5 Forever is about supporting parents to be their child’s first and most important educator.

The First 5 Forever program provides strong early literacy foundations for all children aged between 0-5 years.

The initiative is largely delivered through local public libraries and Indigenous Knowledge Centres.
