Get ready for a budget cash splash*

If you have had anything at all to do with grants you will still be recovering from the madness of November 2020 to March 2021.

Explaining what happened is simple really. In 2020 money was given away without any questions.

Then in November 2020, federal and state government budgets were handed down.

The budgets said there was no longer enough money to just keep giving it away, so the competitive grants
process was reinstated.

We counted 42 open grant programs in January, and there were many more.

The grants season is quieter in April, but only for a very short time. The next round of budgets will be handed down in May.

Get ready for the onslaught of open grant programs the moment we tick over into the new financial year.

How do you stay inspired, when we know there will be more grant programs than you can imagine opened in the second half of this year? The answer is – training and preparation.

In many ways grant writing is like playing sport. How many professional players of any sport do you see who tell their coach: ‘I have played for years, I know what I am doing, so I don’t think I will turn up for training for the second half of the season’?

None is the answer, and any player who said that would be benched.

Grant programs are the same.Training and preparation are vital to remain part of the game.

The rules of the grants game are constantly changing, the team you are up against is different every time and every season has new players and new tactics.

The team at Section51 is continuously keeping up to date with every rule change and Federal and State government game plan for grants.

The Section51 2021 mid-year training will provide you with both federal and state government tactics, and their game plans, so you can be ready for the onslaught.

Come to training and be prepared for the game.
