Cloud solutions accelerate Council agenda and minutes process*

Harbour Software specialises in providing niche cloud-based solutions to help local governments enhance their governance processes.

Working closely with Glenelg Shire Council, Harbour Software implemented agenda and minutes solutions, Doc Assembler and Docs On Tap, to facilitate Council and Executive Management meetings.

Doc Assembler enables agenda collaboration from multiple sources as well as streamlining the approval process for reporting.

Harbour Software’s document distributing and annotation tool, Docs On Tap, enables administrators to automate the distribution of documents and files to Councillors and staff, based on end user permissions.

Executive Assistant to the CEO, Paige Kliese said the cloud-enabled solution had allowed the Shire Council to operate more efficiently.

“From a report writing point of view, the benefits we’ve experienced from using Doc Assembler have been really positive. Our staff can access the platform wherever they are to create and upload their own reports ready for agenda collation.

“Docs On Tap being cloud-based has also made it a lot easier for our councillors to access and make annotations on the most current version of the agenda.

Executive Assistant of Corporate Services, Rachael Fellows, was very impressed by the support from Harbour Software’s experienced consultants.

“Working with a consultant who has experience working in the local government space is also extremely valuable as it meant that they were well versed in local government requirements, making the implementation process easier and smoother,” said Ms Fellows.
