Beginning with Nadine Champion’s encouraging ’10 Seconds of Courage’ keynote which encapsulated the importance of trying new things and making a difference, and ending with Jason Averbrook’s closing keynote ‘Are YOU Ready? – Shifting from Doing Digital to BEING Digital’, the HR + L&D Innovation and Tech Fest proved to be an engaging and enjoyable experience for all involved.

Some of the most talked about topics throughout the event included the importance of autonomy in a hybrid workforce, the value of a strength-based approach to learning development and the upside of retaining employees instead of hiring from outside sources.

With an excess of new insights, exciting new product demonstrations, engaging and informative speakers and new connections to be made, there was never a dull moment at the event. Delegates, speakers and exhibitors combined to have exciting conversations, make lasting connections and enjoy the company of their industry peers.

Also, a special mention must be made of the portable water units located on the event floor, which saved over 10 kilograms of plastic from landfill, 800 plastic water bottles from being purchased and a total of 562 kWh of energy.

Overall, the 2022 HR + L&D Innovation and Tech Fest Australia was a great success, providing engaging speakers, interesting exhibitors and the perfect opportunity for delegates to learn and grow within the human resources and learning and development industries.
