IT2003

2003 sees the 6th Information Technology Conference for Local Government – IT2003, scheduled for 19–21 November in beautiful Coffs Harbour. Hosted by Coffs Harbour City Council, this conference has a well established reputation as the top forum for Local Government IT Managers and support staff to network, learn and exchange ideas.

The theme for this year’s Conference is ‘Go For IT’. In the fast paced world of Information Technology, managers are increasingly required to make a commitment, hone their skills, strive for excellence and ‘Go for IT’. This Conference will equip the Local Government IT professional with the skills, knowledge and best practices to make this leap.

Major sponsors this year are Telstra Country Wide, Trilogy Computer Systems and Global Point Systems.

The Conference program is nearing completion with a printed version being available in late August or early September. Registration forms are available now from the web site it2003.coffsharbour.nsw.gov.au

IT2003 will focus on IT best practices, cutting edge IT technologies, emerging web solutions, Council case studies, industry trends, management skills and techniques, Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), and portable and mobile IT solutions. Also included are case studies from a number of Councils that have implemented successful IT strategies and enlightening presentations from quality IT industry professionals.

Featuring a quality trade exhibition, delegates will see the latest in software, hardware and management solutions and have the chance to discuss their organisation’s specific needs with IT specialists. Corporate response to this year’s Conference has been overwhelming with all main sponsorship positions taken. With a top notch program and sensational entertainment, this years event promises to be the best to date.
