The overwhelming success of the inaugural Local Government Executives
(LGE) Conference in March 2013 has prompted Coffs Harbour City Council
to run the forum as an annual event.
Directors and executives from the Local Government sector – essentially all those that sit immediately under the Council GM/CEO level – from across Australia are once again being invited to network, learn and exchange ideas in March 2014.
“Coffs Harbour City Council has a long history of running exciting and leading conferences in the region including the successful IT conference, which has been running now for over 16 years,” said Coffs Harbour Mayor Denise Knight.
“The LGE conference seeks to provide an expert forum in which councils can identify and clarify the needs of their organisations so they can help their communities grow and prosper.
“And where better to do that than in our beautiful city?”
The conference program will run for two and a half days and keynote speakers include Simon Rountree, Michael Crossland, Maxine McKew, Susan Law, Paul Clitheroe, Frank Sartor, John Townsend, Rob Noble and John Anderson. At the completion of the conference, a social afternoon will take place and delegates will have the choice of participating in a bus tour of the local region, golf at Bonville International Golf Resort or fast-paced action at the F1 Go–Karting.
Online registration is now open at lge2014.coffslgconferences.com.au
