The Blue Mountains City Council has launched the second edition of its successful youth directory.
The Mountains of Help youth directory aims to help young people navigate the everyday challenges they face.
Deputy Mayor, Councillor Chris Van der Kley, said the directory “is a good place to start for any young person looking where to turn for advice on all manner of life’s challenges, from finding a safe place to live, dealing with the law, getting a job, medical help, or simply getting through the next 24 hours.
“Sometimes young people can’t turn to friends or family for support and sometimes young people need to talk to an expert or get independent advice. Often, talking to the right person is all it takes to start working through the things that are happening in your life.”
Produced and published by the Blue Mountains City Council’s Community Team, printed Mountains of Help directories are currently being distributed in a number of places handy for Blue Mountains’ young people, including the Mountains Youth Services Team (MYST) centres, schools, and Council offices and facilities.
