In the freshly unveiled Turnbull Government ministry, Fiona Nash has been announced as the new Local Government Minister.
Deputy Leader of the National Party, Ms Nash will take the role over from Paul Fletcher, who will become the Minister for Urban Infrastructure.
Ms Nash will add Local Government and Territories to her existing Regional Development, Regional Communications and Rural Health portfolios.
Ms Nash has represented the National Party in the Senate for the state of New South Wales since 2005.
