Prepare for the challenges of an evolving sector*

The range of tasks and services delivered by the public sector is growing in complexity, and demands on public sector managers continue to be transformed. Social media, new technologies, and changing public expectations are creating the need for the development of new skills.

Flinders University’s Bachelor of Public Administration (BPA) and Masters of Public Policy and Management (MPPM) are tailored to develop the knowledge and skills needed by the next generation of public service leaders.

Ideal for upskilling public sector ‘rising stars’, the BPA is unique in Australia. No other institution offers a dedicated degree program that matches policy skills with management acumen. The course has a range of entry pathway options, including the ability for students with a relevant TAFE / VET Diploma to complete the degree online in 18 months.

The sector-leading Masters programs in public administration have been devised to equip emerging leaders in the public sector and is available online and in a ‘fast-tracked’ mode.

Dr Cassandra Star, Associate Professor in Public Policy, Flinders University said, “As these courses are available online they are designed to fit into busy lives. Students can study other related course online, at our Adelaide city campus or our main campus at Bedford Park, South Australia.”

If you are part of the next generation of public sector leaders wanting to drive economic, social and political change, Flinders’ flexible and nationally unique public administration courses can help prepare you for the challenges of an evolving sector.
