Thinking differently for better results*

Most of you would be familiar with the Deni Ute Muster, where around 20,000 people congregate to have fun, meet friends and celebrate the ute.

There is a lot of circle work going on at the Deni Ute Muster. (Circle work is judged on a one minute run with points being awarded for driving skills, number and execution of circles, number and execution of figure eights and the crowd reaction).

With just a little imagination one could draw parallels between circle work in a ute and current, outdated, overused re sheeting trends being used for unsealed roads in Australia.

The only difference is the Deni Ute Muster actually generates a profit; unlike re sheeting programs, that no longer offer the best or most cost effective method to manage unsealed roads, and create a drain on your budgets.

Re sheeting is no longer as economical or straightforward as it used to be and has growing disadvantages. The downsides are:

  • increased vehicle count per day and heavier faster vehicles
  • material is harder to source with cartage distances increasing causing more damage to existing roads from heavy haulage of materials
  • higher costs of material due to lack of availability of suitable materials
  • safety and environment concerns.

There is an alternative to re sheeting, proven for over 15 years and used by many innovative local governments.

Refresh and re use existing materials in-situ by simple rip and re-compact operation of what is on site. Blend existing materials with reduced additional materials, in 75 percent of cases no new materials are needed, and blend with our PAM product called PolyCom Stabilising Aid.

Field proven over the last 15 years all over Australia and internationally PolyCom reduces running surface degradation and provides a more water resistant longer lasting wear surface for unsealed roads.

Call 1800 790 907 for details from your peers and book onsite training and education for your crews and engineering staff. Details available on how to achieve the turnaround you need on unsealed road cost management.

Re think the re sheet and leave the circle work at the Ute Muster where it belongs.
