It’s a lifestyle*

Is there anything better than enjoying a sunny day cooking on the barbecue with family and friends?

With winter and the cold weather almost behind us, more and more Australians will be heading to their local park to sizzle a snag or two on the public parkland barbecue.

No one knows the popularity of the Aussie park barbecues better than Amanda Paterson of BBQs-R-US, a leading manufacturer of public park barbecues for almost 40 years.

“It’s getting more and more popular. The public barbecues are such a good community asset – walking through public parks on holidays like Australia Day or Cup Day, it always amazes me how many people from so many backgrounds get together and simply enjoy being outdoors. Barbecues aren’t just things to cook on – they are a lifestyle.”

BBQs-R-US makes a range of gas and electric barbecues, available as inbuilt units or with pre-fabricated cabinets.

As a manufacturer, they are able to custom design cabinets to suit most size and colour requirements.

“The most common thing customers change is the colour. Most people stay with our standard green, but we are doing more and more custom colours – including some very bright oranges and reds and blues.

“We can also offer extras like sinks and fridges, or extended benchtops.”

BBQs-R-US also makes a range of stainless steel cabinets, which are popular because of their durability and low maintenance.
