Light and Lollies in Kwinana

The City of Kwinana is delighted to launch its first Christmas Lights Trail in the lead up to the 71st Lolly Run.

Mayor Peter Feasey said houses lit up for the holidays could register to appear on the trail via the City’s Love My Kwinana website.

“This is another way to share festive cheer throughout Kwinana, and we look forward to the 71st year of the Lolly Run soon taking place across seven nights in the lead up to Christmas,” Mayor Feasey said.

“The Kwinana Industries Council continues to financially support the Lolly Run which delivers 40,000 lolly bags with the help of 100 volunteers on four trucks.

“Listen out for the beeps of the trucks and join us on your street for lollies – all events will take place between 5pm and 8:30pm each night from 17 December to 23 December.

“Just be mindful to stand back from the edge of the road, keep pets on lead, and supervise children at all times to ensure a safe celebration for all.

“If you would like to organise a gathering for your neighbourhood, the City’s Street Meet rebates of $150 are once again available as we continue to foster community connections this holiday season,” he said.
