Editorial

This month Local Government Focus has launched its new website, and with it we have implemented some exciting new ways to deliver you the news from councils across Australia.

We now have a ‘Breaking News’ feature on our homepage that will be updated daily with new stories.

As you get your morning coffee, take a look at the front page of the website as we’ll have updated the news of the day.

Instead of loading all of our news stories online simultaneously with the publication of the paper, there will now be a reason to visit www.lgfocus.com.au every weekday.

To keep updated with all of your Local Government news, please subscribe to our RSS feed, follow our new Facebook page where we will be posting regular updates, and add us to your bookmarks.

Both the RSS and Facebook site are linked on the front page.

As always the newspaper will be made free to read online after it is printed.

The new website is modern, dynamic, and also optimised for mobile devices, so you can keep in touch with us from anywhere.

It features a new layout that will let you browse the current edition right from the front page.

We have also restored archives and updated them to the new layout, so you can read past editions of Local Government Focus dating back to 1996.

Our search function has also been upgraded, providing you an easier way to find the story you are looking for.

As always we encourage every Local Government to continue to submit stories to us.

With more opportunities to be published within Local Government Focus, now is a better time than ever.

We would also like to hear your feedback on our breaking news stories and layout of the new website.

Please email your comments to editorial@lgfocus.com.au, or tell us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/LocalGovernmentFocus

Thank you again for your continued support.
