City of South Perth, Western Australia, takes cybersecurity seriously and understands that our increasingly digital way of living and working creates new risks.
COVID-19 lockdowns have meant many employees have worked remotely for periods during 2020 and 2021.
To help protect the City and its staff, the organisation has introduced a new security awareness training program designed to teach and reinforce good cyber habits.
The program will see all employees complete a series of training videos on a range of cyber security topics over the next 12 months.
The videos detail essential information about topics including protecting employees against online scams and best practice in working from home.
The City has also established a CyberSecurity portal on its intranet which hosts a range of valuable information for employees to access.
Topics include password safety and guides to assist employees working from home.
Together these measures will assist the City in protecting its employees, intellectual property, customer data, and brand reputation.
