Cobar Shire Council selects the MAGIQ Cloud Platform*

MAGIQ Software is pleased to announce that Cobar Shire Council, New South Wales, has selected the MAGIQ Cloud Platform as its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

The MAGIQ Cloud Platform is a proven enterprise-wide local government business solution that has been designed specifically to meet the diverse business requirements of councils. Each of the following product suites can be deployed individually, providing local government organisations with flexibility and choice:

  • MAGIQ Finance
  • MAGIQ Payroll
  • MAGIQ Performance (budgeting, reporting and planning)
  • MAGIQ Council
  • MAGIQ Online
  • MAGIQ Documents eDRMS and
  • MAGIQ Mobile.

The MAGIQ Cloud Platform is architected on Amazon Web Services (AWS) allowing MAGIQ Software to deliver a highly available and secure application that provides mobility, flexibility and seamless integration.

MAGIQ Software Chief Executive Officer, Tony Tiftis, explained, “The selection of the MAGIQ Cloud Platform by Cobar Shire Council is a significant endorsement of MAGIQ Software’s strategy to transition legacy on-premise ERP systems to a full Cloud Software as a Service (SaaS).

“The demand for Cloud-native business-critical solutions has increased during the COVID-19 pandemic with many public sector organisations choosing to replace their costly and inflexible legacy on-premise systems to digitally transform their business with the MAGIQ Cloud Platform – which is secure, affordable, easy-to-use and fast to deploy with all legacy system data migrated.

“We welcome Cobar Shire Council and look forward to many years of positive engagement.”

Cobar Shire is situated in the centre of New South Wales at the crossroads of the Barrier Highway and the Kidman Way and with an area of 45,609 square km, the Cobar Shire is approximately two-thirds the size of Tasmania.

The Shire’s prosperity is built around the thriving mining – copper, lead, silver, zinc, gold – and pastoral industries, which are strongly supported by a wide range of attractions and activities, that make it a major tourist destination.
