Making your journey to a low carbon fleet smoother*

Sustainable fleet management is not only good for business; it’s good for the environment as well.

By reducing fuel consumption, vehicle usage, and carbon emissions, the cost of running a fleet is reduced, as well as the fleet’s impact on the environment.

Fleet management organisations (FMOs) can help local government agencies and councils develop a fleet policy to address their environmental goals.

SG Fleet understands your journey towards a low-carbon fleet and has worked with industry bodies, suppliers and manufacturers to understand what is required to add zero emissions vehicles (ZEVs) or hybrids to fleets and reduce operating costs, lower CO2 emissions, and achieve other environmental goals.

eStart, SG Fleet’s ZEV Vehicle Transition plan, is a proven end-to-end planning solution that supports and prepares your organisation to introduce ZEVs into your fleet.

It was developed based on the insights gained from SG Fleet’s own transition to ZEVs. As we explored options for our own fleet across our offices nationwide, we came to understand the complex and often unique requirements of each individual charging and parking site.

Staying at the forefront of the emerging technologies in the mobility space, SG Fleet and the ACT Government are also involved in an Australian Renewal Energy Agency (ARENA)-backed project, which is one of the largest BEV vehicle-to-grid (V2G) trials in the world.

The Realising Electric Vehicle-to-Grid Services (REVS) project seeks to unlock the full economic and grid benefits of V2G services in Australia.

Additionally, in partnership with Hyundai and the ACT Government, SG Fleet was the first to register privately operated Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEVs), with 20 Hyundai Nexos, when Australia’s first public Hydrogen Station launched in Canberra in March 2021.

The fleet management of these units further advances SG Fleet’s position as the most experienced ZEV fleet provider in Australia.
